I came across this quote the other day and it spurred me on to do my first blog.I’ve been putting this off for months even though I have felt a tugging to take the plunge. You see I feel so computer challenged and I’d rather be doing my jewelry or anything else instead of writing. I like to speak as that goes much faster then typing ! Someone needs to invent an apparatus that hooks to the brain and types what I’m thinking. I wax more eloquent internally.

Another reason I decided to blog is I’m struggling a little with some health issues. “Adrenal Burn-out ” and ” Leaky Gut Syndrome “. Both sound disgusting but at least my symptoms have a name. Poor lifestyle choices such as diet and stress put me here and good lifestyle choices is what’s going to get me out.I’m impatient ! I want the ” whole staircase” and not just one step per week. So blogging is more relaxing then running myself ragged.

You might be asking what does this have to do with “Hog Wild Jewelry ” or any jewelry at all? Well, the quote comes into play again. When I read it I felt it perfectly describes my journey from “wanting ” to ” doing ” and it took one step at a time. Every year I’d go to the Tempe Arts and Crafts fair here in the Phoenix area, with money in hand ,wanting to buy a special piece of handmade jewelry. I could string back in those days but couldn’t do silver-smithing. Every year I’d say to myself ” someday I’m going to learn how to do this.”

So the next time I meet up with you in computer land, I’ll share my journey. Remember whatever you’re struggling with or maybe something you want to accomplish,then reflect on Dr. King’s quote. Look what he accomplished one step at a time.
